The 8 Best Remaining Offensive NFL Free Agents
Team needs drive the price of free agents, but which available guys are best in terms of our advanced metrics?

Julius Thomas, Tight End

The Broncos have already franchise tagged Demaryius, but Julius is a free agent.

Thomas posted a Reception NEP of 60.24, which ranked 11th among the 43 tight ends who caught at least 20 passes. On a per-target basis, though, he ranked first (0.97). In fact, among the 109 players in the league who saw at least 60 targets, Thomas's Reception NEP per target ranked second behind only Kenny Stills (1.05).

Thomas finished the 2013 campaign with a Reception NEP of 78.15, which ranked fourth in the league. His per-target Reception NEP of 0.87 ranked fourth among the tight ends with at least 20 catches.

It's obvious that Thomas can produce like an elite tight end talent, but whether he can do it without Peyton Manning is not a guarantee, as Thomas's production is tied largely to touchdowns, which may be scarcer if he heads to a team without, you know, Peyton Manning.
