When we tally up the marks in the four categories from our analysis, we find that the result is a dead-even tie between Amari Cooper and Kevin White.
White has the perfect build one looks for in an elite wideout. Big enough to outmuscle opponents and explosive enough to win jump balls and make nearly impossible plays, Cooper presents a player with the potential to physically dominate opposing defenses for years to come.
On the other side of the coin, as evidenced by his strong three-year college track record, Cooper is the more NFL-ready receiver. Thanks in large part to his agility that provides him with precise route-running skills and an ability to make defenders miss in the open field his ability to contribute to an NFL team starting from day one is apparent.
But in the end, White's superior potential to sit at the top of the league as the best wideout in the NFL can't be ignored. When it comes down to choosing a wide receiver this upcoming NFL Draft, the tiebreaker therefore goes to Kevin White due to his physical attributes that suggest he could become the next Megatron or Julio Jones.
But should a team select Amari Cooper instead of Kevin White as the top wide receiver in this year's draft, one can hardly blame them for the decision.
On April 30 of this year -- like Pepsi versus Coke, and Reebok versus Nike -- the first wide receiver to go off the board may ultimately come down to what a team is looking for as a matter of preference.
