5 Reasons Why Jaron Brown Will Be 2015’s Waiver Wire Darling
What can the Cardinals’ other Brown do for you?

Carson Palmer vs. Scrubs

Jaron Brown was hidden behind the likes of Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd, John Brown, and even Ted Ginn for most of his time with quarterback Carson Palmer last year. By the time Jaron got a chance to start and show his value with Fitzgerald out and Floyd struggling, Palmer was out for the season.

With Palmer, Brown was 9-for-9 on catchable passes for 76 yards and a touchdown. Without, he was 13-for-15 on catchable passes for 153 yards and a touchdown.

For reference, the table below shows the Cardinals’ team schedule-adjusted Net Expected Points (NEP) numbers with and without Carson Palmer.

QBAdj. NEPPer-PlayAdj. PNEPPer-Play
Palmer26.090.0636.100.15
Others-1.120.00-1.84-0.01

If given a chance to play with a quarterback as talented as Palmer now that he’s progressed as he has, those statistics Brown put up with Ryan Lindley and Drew Stanton might be greatly improved.
