This former first-round pick is not an unknown by any means, so I’m not sure why Derrick Morgan is still unowned in so many leagues. Still, as long as he’s sitting out there on the waiver wire, I’m going to keep pounding the table for the Tennessee Titans’ star edge rusher. Last week when we recommended him, Morgan turned in an incredible week, including 4.5 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 tackles for a loss, and 2 quarterback hits.
This week, the pass rusher extraordinaire gets to take on the reeling Cleveland Browns offense. With a top-tier offensive line and the pocket mobility of Johnny Manziel, this won’t be an easy test. However, this Titans defense can be just as strong as the New York Jets’, who racked up three sacks and two tackles for a loss on the Browns last week -- with two of those sacks coming on the edge, where Morgan plays.
Morgan is available in 88.3% of ESPN IDP leagues, and we project him for around 4.0 tackles, 0.5 sacks, and a total score of 5.69 balanced fantasy points in Week 2.
