I’ve been very high on Keenan Robinson in recent history, but the linebacker dynamo has disappointed in the 2015 season so far. In fact, I thought so highly of him, I traded away fellow undersized coverage ‘backer Telvin Smith in an IDP dynasty league I play in because I thought he and Robinson were similar enough. Whoops. Robinson has hit five or more solo tackles in a game just once this season, after he did it in nine out of 13 games in 2014; this ranks him 57th at the position in fantasy scoring. I still think a breakout is coming for this Washington speed demon, though, and it could be in Week 5.
Robinson gets to toe off against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5, the same team that has given Devonta Freeman the ball 54 times over the past two weeks. That doesn’t even count Terron Ward's 20 touches from Week 4. The Falcons are the eighth-heaviest rushing team right now in terms of ratio and the fifth-heaviest in terms of total plays, since they have such a prolific offense that can run a ton of plays. Robinson should have plenty of production chasing Freeman on rushes and dump-off wheel routes this week. This is a perfect matchup to bust his slump.
Robinson is available in 85.4% of ESPN IDP leagues, and we project him for around 8.5 tackles, a decent chance at a sack, and a total score of 7.79 balanced fantasy points in Week 5.
