Far from the high-powered scoring machine many were expecting, the Eagles offense has been a mess this year. Luckily for them, they have a chance to show off this week against a Saints passing defense that has been equally disastrous. New Orleans has an Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play of 0.40 -- the worst in the league. The worst mark ever for a full season since 2000 is 0.29, so the Saints aren't exactly good right now.
Nelson Agholor wasn't immediately a big part of the Philadelphia offense, seeing only two targets in Week 1, but he has since accounted for 15% of the Eagles' targets, second only to Jordan Matthews.
Agholor hasn't offered much fantasy football value so far, largely because of his very low catch rate. He has only 7 receptions on his 16 targets this year, for a 43.8% catch rate, which ranks 72nd out of the 78 receivers with at least 15 targets. The average catch rate among Eagles this year is 60.7%, and with Agholor only having one drop on the season, we can expect his catch rate to improve moving forwards.
This game is tied with the highest over/under of the week at 49.5. The Eagles are sitting as 4.5-point favorites, so we can expect a lot of offensive output.
