10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading into Week 6
Target these players on waivers to strengthen your team heading into Week 6.

Allen Hurns, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

ESPN ownership: 49%
Yahoo ownership: 55%

Before the season began, I was skeptical that even one Allen could flourish in Jacksonville, and I was damn sure if one could, it definitely wouldn’t be Allen Hurns. Well, it appears that the Jaguars have enough love to go around to support both Allen Robinson and Hurns.

Hurns has had a really good three-week stretch, scoring a touchdown in three straight weeks and crossing the century mark in receiving yards the last two. And through Week 4, Hurns had actually put up a healthy 0.94 Reception NEP per target, which was the level of efficiency reached by Randall Cobb in 2014 on a per-target basis. So Hurns is doing big boy work.

But what also makes Hurns a shrewd pickup involves a little bit of fantasy football chess strategy. As the number-two receiver on the Jaguars, Hurns gets a lot less attention from opposing teams’ star cornerbacks than does the Jags' number-one receiver in Robinson. Case in point, Week 4 against the Colts, he was by far the most productive receiver on the team as the Colts star cornerback, Vontae Davis, had his attention focused on Robinson. Hurns is good enough to be very productive in these types of games where Robinson figures to be blanketed, but also good enough to provide a nice floor in games where Robinson has favorable matchups as well.

Still on a team that figures to be playing from behind a lot, Hurns should continue getting a good number of opportunities to produce for the remainder of the season. Roster him while you still can.
