The 5 Best NFL Offenses Through Week 5
Who are the five most efficient offenses through the first five weeks of the season?

Pittsburgh Steelers

Adjusted NEP/P: 0.141 (5th)
Adjusted Passing NEP/P: 0.253 (6th)
Adjusted Rushing NEP/P: 0.064 (6th)

Perhaps most impressive about the Steelers' appearance on this list is that they've produced these numbers with Le'Veon Bell suspended for the first two games of the year, Ben Roethlisberger out for most of the following three, and sophomore breakout candidate Martavis Bryant yet to see the field.

However, after suffering the biggest blow imaginable with Big Ben's knee injury suffered in Week 3 against the Rams, this offense seems to be heading in the wrong direction. Producing a total offensive NEP of 16.9 and 31.8 over the season's first two weeks, this team has mustered an abysmal -0.64 and -7.83 NEP against the Rams and Ravens, before bouncing back with 4.97 NEP in a win against the Chargers in Week 5.

With backup quarterback Michael Vick unable to deliver the ball into the hands of one of the league's best receivers in Antonio Brown, Bell has put this team on his back; the Steelers' tailback has produced 2.78 Total NEP on his own thanks to his 302 yards on the ground, 107 yards through the air, and 3 total touchdowns.

And as Big Ben continues to sit out games for at least a few more weeks, Bell will have to do everything in his power to keep this offense afloat until their captain can come back at full strength.
