numberFire's metrics that seemed to have no answers for him despite getting the victory.
An early lead by New Orleans limited Freeman's rushing opportunities, but he was still able to find the holes against a struggling defensive unit. He continues to read his blocks well and quickly get through the hole with tremendous burst. Freeman's production and his Success Rate -- runs contributing towards positive NEP -- are near the top in every statistical category, as over half of his rushing attempts have been deemed a "success," something only five other running backs can lay claim to on the year.
This now makes it four straight weeks of Devonta Freeman leading all running backs in Total NEP, as he finished with +11.24 this week. Freeman continues to lead all running backs in both Rushing NEP and Reception NEP on the year, as he has relentlessly shown an impressive turnaround from his inefficient 2014 campaign by numberFire's metrics.
The rest of the running backs this week were led by the Jets' Chris Ivory, who picked up 196 yards on the day and a touchdown. James Starks' 117 total yards and 2 touchdowns has left Eddie Lacy owners in fear. Starks has now outsnapped Lacy three times on the year as he continues to recover from injury slowly. Lamar Miller and the Dolphins responded well to the coaching change coming out of their bye week. Dan Campbell led his Miami squad to a 38-10 victory, as Miller paved the way on 113 rushing yards and a score.
