Plugging the Gaps: IDP Waiver Wire for Week 7
Linebacker Uani' Unga might be a new face in the NFL, but he plays like a golden oldie.

Kevin Minter, Linebacker

We hit in a big way with this recommendation in Week 6, so why not go back to the well? Kevin Minter has struggled for most of his career, so it’s possible that people are remembering these tougher times. Now, however, Minter is the only every-down linebacker the Cardinals are employing in their defensive back-heavy scheme. It’s suiting him well; four of his six games played have seen him bring in at least 9.0 fantasy points in balanced scoring; he’s the sixth-best linebacker in this format.

In Week 7, he toes off against a Baltimore Ravens offense that has rushed the ball an average of 26 times over the past two weeks, and has seen power back Lorenzo Taliaferro placed on injured reserve. Justin Forsett is no pushover, but there’s simply depleted talent in this position group. The Ravens also have allowed the seventh-highest stuff percentage allowed, however, so a few tackles for a loss could set Minter up nicely this week.

Minter is available in 93.1% of ESPN IDP leagues, and we project him for around 7.5 tackles, an excellent chance for a pass defensed, and a total score of 8.45 balanced fantasy points in Week 7.
