With Leonard Hankerson missing time due to injury and Roddy White a shell of his former self, Matt Ryan is beginning to look to his tight end more and more. After seeing just 10 targets over the first three games of the year, Jacob Tamme has seen 10, 5, 6, and 12 targets over the last four weeks, topping the 90-yard mark twice in this timespan.
And on Sunday Tamme put up his best game of the season, torching the Bucs 30th-ranked secondary for 10 receptions, 103 yards and a touchdown. His 11.26 Reception NEP not only led the team in this category but will also help improve his 0.69 Reception NEP per target that had him ranked as the ninth most efficient tight end with at least 30 targets going into this week's matchup with Tampa Bay.
With Tamme's role in Atlanta's passing game quickly growing and his arrow pointing upwards, the Falcons' tight end deserves a long look if you're searching for that high upside tight end on your league's waiver wire.
