Quite frankly I was a little surprised that Davante Adams' ownership levels are as high as they are because he's been a ghost on the gridiron the entire season. But people that hung onto him will be rewarded (assuming they didn't pass up on a Stefon Diggs-type player), and people that dropped him will be scrambling to add him this weekend. You should join that scramble if he's available in your league after what we saw this Sunday against the Panthers.
On Sunday, we got a taste of what the number two receiver role in Green Bay's offense can provide for fantasy owners, as Adams reeled in 7 of 11 total targets for 93 yards, while also securing a two-point conversion. That kind of target share coming from one of, if not the best quarterback in the league doesn't just appear on the waiver wire every week this late in the season. Want more good news? Adams was actually very productive and efficient with his looks on Sunday too, registering a healthy 0.88 Reception NEP per target against the Panthers' second-ranked pass defense.
If Adams is still available on your wire go get him immediately because the Packers' schedule moving forward is not only friendly for the run game but also for the passing game as well. And after two losses in a row, I'm thinking Aaron Rodgers will be itching to remind folks why he's the reigning MVP, which can only benefit Adams.
