Warning. Dorial Green-Beckham will probably not be winning you any fantasy football championships this season. But probably not and definitely not are two very different notions when it comes to the fantasy playoffs, and Green-Beckham is exactly the kind of high-upside bench stash you'll want in case his physical talents combined with his increased role bears fruit over the next couple of weeks.
Green-Beckham's playing time has consistently gone up in recent weeks, to the point where he played 83% of the Titans’ snaps in Week 11. Part of this is that the Titans lost Justin Hunter for the rest of the season, but part of it is that Green-Beckham's 6'5", 237-pound frame should represent a red zone matchup nightmare when and if things start clicking for the rookie. And while DGB is still a raw route-runner, he has posted above-average efficiency when given his chances this year, registering a 0.73 Reception NEP per target. And in two of the past three games he's been targeted at least six times, so the opportunities for him appear to be increasing with more regularity.
With the 31st-ranked Raiders' pass defense next on the Titans' schedule -- followed up by the 29th-ranked Jaguars' pass defense -- the next two weeks should provide a good barometer as to whether or not DGB will have his moment in his rookie season. As such, it's worth a speculative add to get him on your bench if you have any dead weight because he may, if given the chance, blossom right as your league's playoffs are about to start.
