An early season fantasy darling, Danny Woodhead's shine has started to come off recently. His increasingly inconsistent production culminated in last week's disappointing 16-total yard performance against Kansas City.
In a matchup that appears rough on paper -- he will take on the Jacksonville Jaguars' rush defense that ranks 10th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play -- Woodhead could actually be set for a nice game.
While the Jaguars have been extremely tough against the run -- they are allowing a league leading 3.4 yards per carry this season -- they have allowed five separate running backs to record at least five receptions in a game. As four-point underdogs, the Chargers should look to air the ball out plenty again this week. This potential game script should lead to plenty of opportunity for the diminutive passing-downs back.
