High-Cost Option: Adrian Peterson $6,600
The league leading rusher Rich Hribar in this week's "The Worksheet: Week 13": Seattle has allowed a top-15 running back in four consecutive games and three top-10 scorers. This highly vaunted rush defense by Seattle has proved mortal -- only seventh-best according to our metrics -- as they have given up over 20 fantasy points to opposing running backs in their last four games. Peterson has seen 82.3% of the running back carries on the year and 68.6% of the team's red zone carries. Ownership of Peterson could be down this week given the Seahawks' name, but at $6,600 -- his lowest price of the season -- it's hard to fade All Day.
Mid-Cost Option: DeAngelo Williams $5,600
Speaking of the Seahawks, 7 offensive touchdowns on just 54 touches. Expect Johnson to be the cash-staple of the week at running back given the projected volume and how efficiently Carson Palmer has been orchestrating this offense.
GPP Wildcard: Jonathan Stewart $5,300
While everyone and their mother is chasing Cam Newton this week, an interesting pivot play off him would be investing in Carolina's rushing attack with Jonathan Stewart. The Saints are nearly just as dreadful defending the run as they are against the pass, giving up the third-most rushing yards and fourth-most fantasy points to running backs on the season. Stewart has had a tremendous turnaround of his season after Week 5, averaging 15.2 fantasy points and over 20 rushing attempts in each game since. We always have to worry about Newton and Mike Tolbert vulturing touchdowns with Stewart, but he offers volume and production in a plus matchup.
