Chris Polk is another speculative add that I wouldn't feel comfortable starting just yet, but I am intrigued by his potential upside given that he received the majority of the workload in the Texans' backfield in Week 13, in which he rushed the ball 12 times for 61 yards and a touchdown.
On the whole, Polk hasn't been all that effective this season, compiling a -0.08 Rushing NEP per rush, but on a per touch basis he's been more effective than teammate Alfred Blue, who's compiled a -0.11 Rushing NEP per rush. And Polk has shown flashes of his capabilities in the past, primarily in his time with the Eagles in 2013 and 2014, where he compiled 57 carries over two seasons and averaged a 0.16 Rushing NEP per rush, which are very efficient numbers despite the small sample size.
Add Polk if you're hurting at running back. His performance in Week 13 may beget more opportunity moving forward.
