Despite playing behind lead back Doug Martin, Charles Sims has had a respectable season for himself so far. Fairly efficient on his relatively few touches, Sims could actually become the first Buc ever to average 5 yards per carry and 10 yards per catch in a single season.
This past Sunday, the backup tailback continued this trend and actually outplayed the starter by turning 5 targets into 3 receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown to go along with 4 carries for 45 yards in the ground game. All in all, his 7 touches contributed an impressive 9.24 combined Rushing and Reception NEP in a Week 16 loss to Chicago.
Given his efficiency in the Bucs' backfield, Sims should be a decent flex option when he takes on the Panthers' 15th-ranked run defense in Week 17.
