The running back options are ugly this week, and I mean gross. Sure, Adrian Peterson and Marshawn Lynch are likely to be available, but AP has the arduous task of taking on the Seahawks' second ranked run defense, and if Lynch can play, he'll be risky given his long layoff and tough matchup against the Vikings' 10th ranked rush defense.
With this said, I find myself intrigued by Charcandrick West this week. His mini-breakout was sidelined by an injury that resulted in a platoon forming with Spencer Ware, but West has had the more consistent workload of the two. We may see more owners look Ware's direction because he's been the goal line back, but the Texans have only allowed a single rushing touchdown over the second half of the season.
West has been the preferred pass-catching option and has received the majority of the work between the 20's, meaning his workload should be safer. If one of these backs is going to have a productive day, I'd lean his direction.
