Spencer Ware has been fighting Charcandrick West for carries ever since Jamaal Charles went down for the year, and he finally seems to be closing the gap. Last week was the closest their snap numbers have been while both healthy, with West seeing 55% of the Chiefs' snaps to 45% for Ware. Ware also out-carried West 16 to 13.
Ware has been by far the more efficient runner of the two this year, and it would be in the Chiefs' best interest to keep increasing his workload. Not only is he much better than West in fantasy football, averaging 0.40 fantasy points per snap to 0.18 for West, but Ware ranks second among the 72 backs to record at least 50 carries this year, boasting a 0.20 Rushing NEP per carry.
The Chiefs were the seventh most run-heavy team in the league this year, with a 1.19 pass-run ratio, and favored by 3.5 (the second biggest margin this week), we should see a heavy dose of their ground game against the Texans.
