The 5 NFL Defenses That Declined Most This Season
Which NFL defenses fell the most in our ranks from 2014 to 2015?

Jacksonville Jaguars

2015 Rank: 30
2014 Rank: 18
Fall: 12 spots

After having middling run and pass defenses in 2014, the Jaguars regressed this season. While they again finished as an average unit against the run, their pass defense floundered and dropped to 27th.

Although Davon House flashed at times, there wasn’t much more talent in the Jacksonville secondary. Plus, injuries to Sen’Derrick Marks, first-round selection Dante Fowler, and Ziggy Hood left the defensive line weak.

While four Jaguars has at least 4 sacks, only Jared Odrick (5.5 sacks) had more than 4. This is a potentially stout run defense, but the pass defense is still a few impact players short.
