5 Late-Round NFL Draft Picks to Target in Fantasy Football Rookie Drafts
It's easy to recommend Ezekiel Elliott and Corey Coleman for your rookie drafts, but who are some late-round rookies you should target with the potential to pay off big?

Moritz Boehringer, WR, Minnesota Vikings

We'll end on a fun one.

Moritz Boehringer became the first player drafted directly into the NFL from a European league when the Vikings selected him in the sixth round. If you're a Jeff Janis fan, Boehringer could be a player right up your alley.

Boehringer wasn't invited to the Combine, but at his "Pro Day," he tested off the charts athletically.

EventResult
40-yard dash (seconds) 4.43
Vertical (inches) 39
Broad Jump 10 ft, 11 in
20-yard Short Shuttle (seconds) 4.1
3-Cone (seconds) 6.65
Bench (225 pound reps) 17

After the failed Cordarrelle Patterson and Charles Johnson experiments over the past few years, the depth chart in Minnesota isn't as full as the roster suggests. That isn't to imply Boehringer can step in and play immediately -- in fact, he could potentially end up on the practice squad -- but we've seen Norv Turner able to capitalize on big, athletic wide receivers in the past.

Boehringer will likely go undrafted in many rookie drafts, but if you're a dynasty owner who highly prioritizes metrics, he could potentially pay off down the road as a late-round flier.
