The 12 Best Quarterback Passing Seasons of the Last 12 Years
Among all the great seasons from quarterbacks over the last decade plus, which passers have put together the most elite of campaigns?

5. Peyton Manning, 2004

No, your mouse is not broken. This is the fourth appearance for Peyton Manning on this countdown.

Manning's 231.1 Passing NEP in 2004 was the first of a three-season stretch in which he led the league in this metric. He was 39.95 points better than runner-up Daunte Culpepper.

Manning's 0.45 Passing NEP per drop back is the best mark since 2000 among quarterbacks who made at least 250 drop backs. His 58.82 percent Success Rate is the second-best since 2000.

The 12-4 Colts were a wild card team as AFC South Division Champions. They defeated Denver in the Wild Card Round, but lost at New England to the eventual Super Bowl Champion Patriots.

Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, and Brandon Stokley all had over 1,000 yards receiving in 2004, and each had at least 10 touchdowns. Manning completed 67.6 percent of his passes for 4,557 yards and 49 touchdowns with only 10 interceptions.
