FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football Helper: Week 12
Ben Roethlisberger fares well as a home favorite historically, and that's the case for him in Week 12. Who else should you target?

If you've never played daily fantasy football on FanDuel before, it's time to start. Unlike traditional leagues, you're able to select the players you want on that specific day only, giving you a different squad to root for each and every week.

Here at numberFire we offer great tools for premium members. The analysis below is meant to help you understand why some of these players are top picks in our tools and projections because we don't want you going into the weekend completely blind. We want to help you. Keep in mind, however, that things can change drastically if an injury is announced, so make sure you're double checking the tools and projections as close as possible to kickoff.

Let's break down the main slate on FanDuel for this week.

Quarterbacks

Tom Brady (FanDuel Price: $9,100) - Brady is pricey, but he's likely worth it. The New England Patriots are massive 17-point favorites over the Miami Dolphins, who rank 30th against the pass by our Adjusted Defensive Passing Ben Roethlisberger ($7,900) - The Green Bay Packers rank 25th against the pass by our metrics this season and allowed Dak Prescott, Case Keenum, Drew Brees, and Matthew Stafford to average 22.1 FanDuel points against them before boosting their averages against Mitchell Trubisky (15.88) and Joe Flacco (10.22). As a home favorite by at least 7 points since 2014, Roethlisberger has averaged 344 passing yards and 3 touchdowns.

Alex Smith ($7,600) - Smith's Kansas City Chiefs dropped another game, this time in windy conditions in New Jersey. They face the Buffalo Bills, a team in turmoil of their own. One thing is certain, though: Buffalo's defense is bad. They're 30th overall since Week 6, 32nd against the rush, and 24th against the pass by our metrics. They've given up an average of 16.3 FanDuel points to Josh McCown, Brees, and Philip Rivers in their past three games, which doesn't sound like much, but they did that on 20, 25, and 32 attempts, respectively. The only thing saving the pass defense looks to be the rush defense for Buffalo.
