Let’s touch on some players who stand out for this week's FanDuel main slate.
Quarterbacks
Lamar Jackson ($8,200)- Jackson finished as the QB1 last week while only 0.6 FanDuel points came through his legs. Using our metrics, he paced all starting quarterbacks with a 1.41 Passing Net Expected Points Per Dropback. Usually, it wouldn't be a good investment on an $800 salary increase, but Jackson finds himself in an excellent spot against the Arizona Cardinals. The Baltimore Ravens have the second-highest implied team total, Arizona just allowed Matthew Stafford to finish as the QB4. Both teams were in the top three for plays last week, so the pace should be favorable for Jackson to rack up points, and our projections have him as the top quarterback value.
Tom Brady ($7,800)- Brady opened the season on a high note with a Week 1 QB7 finish, and now faces the Miami Dolphins who posted a league-worst 0.64 Defensive Net Expected Points. They allowed the Ravens to post an absurd 1.44 Pass Net Expected Points against them. New England has the highest Week 2 implied team total at 33.25, and our projections have Brady finishing as a top-three quarterback.
