FanDuel Single-Game Daily Fantasy Football Helper: Week 16 Sunday Night

Week 16's Sunday Night Football game features an inter-division matchup between the Chicago Bears and Kansas City Chiefs. Following the main slate of action, fantasy enthusiasts can stay involved throughout the night by playing in FanDuel's Sunday night's single-game contests.

For those unfamiliar, single-game slates feature five flex spots with identical scoring to the main slate. However, kickers are included in these contests and there is an "MVP" roster slot. The MVP receives 1.5-times his total fantasy points, making this spot crucial.

Bookmakers currently favor the Chiefs by 6.0-point with a 44.5-point over/under. Here are the notable matchups to target on this slate.

MVP Consideration

Patrick Mahomes ($16,000) - Patrick Mahomes draws the edge over Mitchell Trubisky if you're looking at the passers in this one. Continuing with another solid NFL season, Mahomes ranks in the top 10 in completion percentage (65.7 percent) and net yards per attempt (7.89). Believe it or not, Mahomes actually draws the better matchup between these two quarterbacks, according to our schedule-adjusted metrics. The Chiefs rank fifth in pass defense while the Bears slot in eighth. Mahomes has a great floor in any matchup and with the weapons he has around him, the upside is there, too.

Tyreek Hill ($14,000) - Arguably the most dynamic weapon in the NFL, Tyreek Hill faces a tough challenge against the Bears' eighth-ranked secondary. Taking a backseat to Travis Kelce of late, Hill is seeing 7.7 targets over his last three games. However, he still provides slate-breaking ability, with a pair of games of more than 140 receiving yards and a touchdown this year. With recent play and a tough matchup on deck, ownership may come in a bit low on Hill this week, but he's a decent MVP play on any single-game slate.

Anthony Miller ($12,000) - With Taylor Gabriel sidelined, Anthony Miller has experienced a second-year breakout late in this 2019 season. In each the Bears' last three games, Miller has played at least 88 percent of Chicago's snaps. He has also received massive target volume. Over his last six games, Miller actually averages 10.4 targets per contest, which leads the squad. Projected to trail in this spot, game script should work in Miller's favor.

Value Plays

Sammy Watkins ($8,500) - Despite a disappointing season, Sammy Watkins continues to play a ton of snaps for the Chiefs. Last week, Watkins received four targets while playing 75 percent of the snaps. Despite being in a Mahomes-led offense, Watkins has eclipsed 100 receiving yards only once this season. However, he posted nine catches for 198 yards and three scores in that one game, so there's upside here -- even if we haven't seen it since Week 1. Still, it stands to reason that a player seeing this many snaps alongside Mahomes will have another big game at some point.

Mecole Hardman ($7,500) - For those looking for cheap attachments to the Chiefs' passing game, Mecole Hardman fits the bill. With a healthy group of pass catchers, Hardman is a part-time player in this offense. Last week, he played a mere 20 percent of Kansas City's snaps. However, Hardman's skill-set contributes to big plays in the receiving game. Last week, Hardman received just two targets, but he has six touchdowns on the year. Also a candidate for elevated snaps with Watkins and Demarcus Robinson struggling, Hardman looks like a sharp play.

Riley Ridley ($5,000) - The Bears are finally testing out their fourth-round rookie. Riley Ridley played 49 percent of Chicago's snaps last week. While his role remains fluid, the playing time is a positive sign. In his limited role a week ago, Ridley received two targets, which he turned into 10 yards. While Ridley has yet to do much in 2019, he remains one of the cheapest options on this slate with a chance for decent playing time. If you're going with a stars-and-scrubs lineup, Ridley is a decent scrub play.
