3 Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming Options for Week 14

Quarterback streaming isn't for everyone, but if you're in a standard league -- like a 10- or 12-team league that features just one starting signal caller -- grabbing potentially productive quarterbacks in good matchups off the waiver wire is often doable.

Sure, you won't have the luxury of setting it and forgetting it with Russell Wilson as your quarterback, but when the top-end signal-callers draw a tough matchup, their upside can oftentimes be matched by a waiver-wire option in a more favorable situation.

If you're looking for some quarterback options from the waiver wire -- regardless of league size -- we have you covered. Here are three quarterbacks rostered in fewer than roughly 40% of Yahoo leagues who are in good spots this week.

Philip Rivers, Colts

Yahoo Roster Percentage: 40%

Philip Rivers has been a really solid fantasy option lately, and he's a great streaming play in Week 14 as the Indianapolis Colts go on the road to play the Las Vegas Raiders.

Over the last four weeks, Rivers has scored 16.32, 21.42, 17.80 and 19.20 fantasy points. He's gone for at least 16 fantasy points in six of his past seven games. The Raiders shouldn't present too much of a challenge as they entered Week 13 giving up the ninth-most fantasy points per game to signal callers (19.3) and then permitted Sam Darnold to score 20.04 points.

This should be a fantasy-friendly game, too. The Colts are 2.5-point favorites against the Raiders, and the game has a juicy 51.0-point total, giving Indy a 26.75-point implied total. Rivers is the top streamer for the first week of the fantasy postseason.

Mitchell Trubisky, Bears

Yahoo Roster Percentage: 13%

So you've fought your way to the playoffs, and I'm telling you to put your fate in the hands of Mitchell Trubisky? Well, yeah, I am. I much prefer using Rivers, but if you can't get him, Trubisky is a fine alternative as he draws a dope Week 14 matchup versus the Houston Texans, a team surrendering the 11th-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks (19.1).

Our schedule-adjusted metrics have Houston as the fifth-worst overall D and the seventh-worst pass defense. And now they're without suspended corner Bradley Roby. In their first game sans Roby, the Texans let Rivers go for 285 yards and two scores en route to his third-best single-game passer rating of 2020.

Trubisky wasn't bad in a nice matchup with the Detroit Lions in Week 13, completing 26 of 34 passes for 267 yards and a score. And while he totaled a mere six rushing yards on three carries this past week, Trubisky's running ability is another plus for his streaming outlook as he's run it at least three times in four of his five starts this season.

As gross as it may feel, Trubisky is a fine streaming option and can be started confidently in two-quarterback formats.

Mike Glennon, Jaguars

Yahoo Roster Percentage: 3%

Assuming Mike Glennon gets another start for the Jacksonville Jaguars, he's worth a look in Week 13. Glennon has been surprisingly decent in his two starts. After scoring 18.0 fantasy points versus the Cleveland Browns in Week 12, he went for 280 yards, a score and two picks against the Minnesota Vikings on his way to 12.10 fantasy points.

I know 12.10 fantasy points isn't going to get you too jacked, but Glennon has been super aggressive through two outings. In Week 13, nearly 24% of his passes were at least 20 yards downfield. That's perfect for fantasy.

He gets a delightful matchup in Week 14 as the Jags host the Tennessee Titans. The Titans came into Week 13 ranked as the eighth-worst overall defense and the sixth-worst pass D, and then Baker Mayfield lost his mind against them.

The Titans-Jags clash carries a mouth-watering 53.5-point total, so there should be plenty of points, giving Glennon a good shot at a quality fantasy output.
