In a unique fantasy format, single-game slates feature five flex spots with identical scoring to the main slate. However, kickers are included in these contests, and there is an "MVP" roster slot. The MVP receives 1.5-times his total fantasy points, making this spot crucial.
Our Brandon Gdula has done a deep dive on single-game strategy, and we have projections for the single-game slate if you select the game from the slate tab. It's worth checking out both of those things before you make your lineups.
MVP Candidates
Patrick Mahomes ($16,500): In an appealing spot against a Tennessee Titans' defense ranked 23rd (18.7) in FanDuel points allowed per game to quarterbacks, Mahomes rates first overall with a 23.0 FanDuel point projection. With opponents choosing to drop back 64.6% of the time versus the Titans, Kansas City's elite quarterback has an elevated opportunity for a high ceiling outcome against a unit giving up an average of 24.4 completions for 274 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Derrick Henry ($16,000): After producing five consecutive games over 130 scrimmage yards, "King Henry" will attempt to sustain his recent momentum versus a Kansas City defense allowing 22.6 FanDuel points per game to running backs. In an offense focused on handing off the ball with a 55.4% rush play percentage, Henry stands as numberFire's second rated option with a 18.7 fantasy projection including 22.5 attempts for 108.5 yards.
Travis Kelce ($14,500): Ranking first among tonight's pass catchers in receptions (6.8), yardage (81.1), receiving touchdowns (0.71), and targets (9.5), Kansas City's elite tight end deserves MVP consideration versus a Titans' team giving up 4.6 receptions for 55.7 yards on 6.4 targets to his position.
Flex Considerations
Ryan Tannehill ($13,000) / Malik Willis ($13,000): After Tannehill was listed as questionable with an ankle injury, Willis could be in line for his second career start against a leaky Kansas City unit allowing 21.7 FanDuel points per game to quarterbacks. Regardless who is under center, either Tennessee signal caller has a great opportunity versus a struggling defense giving up a league-high 28.3 completions for 2.4 touchdowns and the second most yardage (297.9) per game.
JuJu Smith-Schuster ($11,500): In a versatile role lining up 43% of his snaps in the slot and 57% out wide, Kansas City's 25-year old wideout has seen 56.8% of his targets within nine yards, 6.8% behind the line of scrimmage, and 36.4% between 10-to-19. Smith-Schuster stands second on his team in expected targets (5.9), and receptions (4.0).
Clyde Edwards-Helaire ($11,000) / Isiah Pacheco ($11,000): Kansas City's backfield is trending towards a committee role after Edwards-Helaire registered a season-low 27% offensive snap percentage and six touches while Pacheco logged a season-high 30% offensive snap percentage with eight rushing attempts in Week 7. Despite sharing most of the rushing attempts, neither back was involved much in the pass game with one combined target.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling ($10,000): After producing a season-high 111 yards on three receptions, Valdes-Scantling has a good spot to continue his recent success against a Titans defense ranked 29th (32.6) in FanDuel points allowed to wide receivers. The 28-year old rates second among Kansas City's pass catchers in yardage (47.5) and third in targets (4.9).
Mecole Hardman ($9,500): Coming off a monster 26.0 FanDuel point performance including three total touchdowns in Week 7, Hardman has another shot to make plays versus a Tennessee team allowing 7.0 yards per attempt and 10.4 per completion. Kansas City has been giving the 24-year old a sneaky amount of volume in the red zone with six touches inside the ten-yard line including three within the five.
Harrison Butker ($9,500) / Randy Bullock ($9,000): In nine home games since last season, Butker has converted 90% of his field goal attempts and 91.3% of his extra point tries while Bullock has produced a 73.7% field goal success rate and a 93.9% percentage on extra point attempts in 12 road contests in the same time period.
Kansas City D/ST ($9,000): On 160 pass attempts, the Titans have allowed an eye-popping 29.3% pressure rate, 23 quarterback hits, and an average of 2.5 seconds in the pocket while Kansas City has produced a 24.8% pressure percentage, a 10.7% quarterback knockdown rate, and a 9.1% hurry percentage.
Robert Woods ($8,500): Tennessee's veteran ranks second among all pass catchers in value (1.01 rating), receptions (4.1), yardage (49.9), and targets (6.5).
Dontrell Hilliard ($8,000): The Titans' 26-year old has still played a decent role on passing downs, registering 9.6 receiving snaps per game with a 84.1% route participation percentage while seeing an average of three targets.
Jerick McKinnon ($8,000): Despite being in a crowded committee, McKinnon logged the highest snap percentage (44%) in Week 7 and continues to see the most work among his position group on passing downs with 17 receiving snaps and 2.2 targets per game. The Titans have allowed 6.9 receptions for 36 yards per game on nine targets to running backs.
Kadarius Toney ($7,000): Kansas City's new receiver will reportedly have a role versus a Tennessee defense allowing 13.2 receptions for 182.9 yards and 1.3 touchdowns on 19.6 targets to wideouts.
