If you're fortunate enough to still be playing, there is no reason to rest now.
Here are some of the best additions you can make to your squads this week. (I'll stick to players rostered on no more than 60% of Yahoo teams and also list some other viable pickups who may be available in shallower leagues or relevant only in deeper leagues).
Quarterbacks
Brock Purdy, 49ers
Roster Percentage: 20%
Exactly as we had planned all along -- it's time to turn the keys over to Brock Purdy in the fantasy football semifinals.
Purdy has been a revelation for the San Francisco 49ers, and he's in a nice spot this week. Given that Purdy hasn't topped 217 passing yards in a game, it's certainly fair to question his fantasy-football ceiling, but the 49ers should put up plenty of points in a home date with the Washington Commanders (23.5-point implied total). And Washington -- who ranks first in run D, per our schedule-adjusted metrics -- is a pass-funnel defense, which aids Purdy's outlook.
With some serviceable streaming options out there for Week 16, Purdy tops the pack in my eyes.
Others to Consider:
Daniel Jones (59%; at Vikings), Ryan Tannehill (41%; vs. Texans), Kenny Pickett (11%; vs. Raiders), Zach Wilson (7%; vs. Jaguars), Sam Darnold (6%; vs. Lions)
Running Backs
Zack Moss, Colts
Roster Percentage: 2%
Jonathan Taylor left early with a high-ankle sprain in Week 15. There appears to be a strong possibility the Indianapolis Colts will shut down Taylor for the remainder of the year, and that makes Zack Moss a priority add who can help the rest of the way.
Moss -- not Deon Jackson (7% rostered) -- carried the load in a positive game script in Taylor's absence last weekend, playing 67% of the snaps and getting 24 carries. Jackson had a 32% snap rate and handled 13 carries.
In a more neutral game script, Jackson could see an increase in snaps and touches, and he is a viable pickup, as well. But it appears Moss is the guy on early downs for the Colts if Taylor is sidelined, and Moss would be a flex-worthy play -- at worst -- this coming week in a clash with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Tyler Allgeier, Falcons
Roster Percentage: 37%
Tyler Allgeier had himself a day in Week 15. Allgeier ripped off 138 rushing yards on 17 attempts -- both of which are season-best marks -- and he did it against a New Orleans Saints defense that's no pushover.
Despite facing a negative game script nearly all afternoon, the Atlanta Falcons stayed run-heavy, calling 31 running-back runs and throwing it only 26 times in Desmond Ridder's debut start. Allgeier out-performed Cordarrelle Patterson, who went for 52 yards on 14 carries, while Patterson played one more snap than Allgeier did. Caleb Huntley left early with an injury.
As Atlanta throws Ridder to the wolves down the stretch, they should continue to pound the rock, and Allgeier will be a flex option in Week 16 despite a difficult matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. Things look much better in Week 17 as the Falcons will face the Arizona Cardinals.
Chuba Hubbard, Panthers
Roster Percentage: 39%
Chuba Hubbard had been playing second fiddle to D'Onta Foreman in recent weeks. That changed in Week 15 as Hubbard logged a 63% snap rate compared to Foreman's 30% clip.
Foreman struggled, totaling 9 rushing yards on 10 carries, and went without a target in the passing game. Hubbard had just 10 rushing yards on four carries but racked up 57 yards on three catches, with 45 of those coming on one play.
Hubbard had totaled 31 rushing attempts over the previous two games, so he typically gets a decent amount of work as a runner, too, and he's got the pass-game role on lock.
The Carolina Panthers face the Detroit Lions in Week 16. Hubbard can work as a flex play -- particularly in PPR and half-PPR formats.
Others to Consider:
James Cook (53%), Gus Edwards (44%), Khalil Herbert (39%), Jordan Mason (12%), Deon Jackson (7%)
Wide Receivers
Darius Slayton, Giants
Roster Percentage: 64%
There is a lot to like about Darius Slayton heading into Week 16.
He's played at least 80% of the snaps in each of the New York Giants' six post-bye games, including a 94% snap rate this last week. In that span, he's accounted for a 20% target share and 36% air yards share, both of which pace the G-Men. He's seen at least six targets in four of the last five games.
In Week 16, Slayton gets a dreamy matchup with the Vikings, a defense that sits seventh-worst in pass D -- per our metrics -- and has given up the third-most half-PPR points per game to receivers (33.1).
Slayton can help you get to Championship Week.
Chris Moore, Texans
Roster Percentage: 19%
Chris Moore is running as the Texans' number-one receiver with Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins out. He's garnered 20 targets across the previous two games, catching 14 of them for 166 yards.
In Week 16, Moore has a friendly matchup against a Tennessee Titans defense that's allowing the most half-PPR points per game to wideouts (34.4).
If Collins and Cooks remain out, Moore should again be in line for quality volume. One of those two returning would put a damper on Moore's prospects and make him a scary start.
Treylon Burks, Titans
Roster Percentage: 49%
Treylon Burks could be nearing a return for the Titans after missing two consecutive games, although that's far from certain with Burks failing to practice at all last week. But Burks is a guy worth adding because he was emerging before suffering a concussion in Week 13.
In the three prior games, Burks saw six, eight, and six targets. He went for 111 yards in Week 11 and 70 yards in Week 12. Tennessee's offense misses Burks' big-play ability, and with the Titans' AFC South lead slipping away, Burks should immediately return to a key role in the offense as soon as he's healthy enough to play. That makes him a worthwhile add.
Demarcus Robinson, Ravens
Roster Percentage: 14%
Demarcus Robinson has been targeted at least six times in four of the Ravens' five post-bye games. With the Ravens' struggling to put up points, Robinson hasn't done too much with those looks, but that could change moving forward with Lamar Jackson trending toward a Week 16 return.
Jackson's return would provide an obvious lift to the Baltimore offense, and the Ravens finish the fantasy season with two soft matchups as they host the Falcons and Steelers in the next two weeks.
Robinson is a solid bench piece, and he isn't a bad dart-throw start this coming week -- assuming Jackson returns -- if you're in a pinch at receiver.
Others to Consider:
Donovan Peoples-Jones (64%), Elijah Moore (36%), Mack Hollins (29%), Russell Gage (13%), K.J. Osborn (5%), Rashid Shaheed (1%)
Tight Ends
Chigoziem Okonkwo, Titans
Roster Percentage: 26%
Chigoziem Okonkwo has become a weapon for the Titans, and he's startable in a sweet matchup this coming week.
Okonkwo's role has grown throughout the campaign, and he's now been targeted at least five times in four straight outings. He's played at least 48% of the snaps in three straight games, and he's got at least 45 receiving yards in each of those three contests. Okonkwo leads Tennessee in target share over the last three weeks (18%).
Those numbers -- both the usage and production -- won't blow you away, but when you combine those with his Week 16 date versus a Houston defense that's given up the 11th-most half-PPR points per game to tight ends (10.2), Okonkwo is a low-end TE1/high-end TE2 this week.
Others to Consider:
Greg Dulcich (61%), Tyler Conklin (30%), Noah Fant (22%), Juwan Johnson (20%)
Defenses
Tennessee D/ST
Roster Percentage: 47%
The Titans host the Texans in Week 16, and while Houston has been playing well of late, I still like the Tennessee D/ST as a top play on a week without a slam-dunk streamer.
For the year, the Texans have permitted the third-most fantasy points per game to defenses. Davis Mills has a turnover in seven consecutive starts, and before the past two weeks, Houston had given up at least three sacks in four straight games.
Despite Houston's improved play, the Tennessee D/ST can come through.
Others to Consider:
Tampa Bay D/ST (69%; at Cardinals), New York Jets D/ST (41%; vs. Jaguars), Cleveland D/ST (25%; vs. Saints)
