Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte "appears on track to play" Thanksgiving Day against the Green Bay Packers, ESPN Bears reporter Jeff Dickerson said.
Forte reportedly participated in "an extensive pregame warmup" before the Week 11 loss to the Broncos and should be good to against Green Bay "barring an unforeseen setback." Forte will likely return as the lead back, but with Jeremy Langford playing well in his place, Forte may no longer be the 25-touch workhorse he was early in the season. It'll certainly be a backfield to monitor.
Coming into Week 11, among running backs with at least 50 opportunities this season, Forte ranks 34th in Total Net Expected Points per play.
