Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson (ankle) is not practicing Wednesday.
He participated in stretching, but Anderson called it a day when the Broncos began light drill work. On Monday, Denver coach Gary Kubiak said Anderson's ankle was "very sore" after the running back exited early in Week 13. Ronnie Hillman figures to see the biggest boost in value if Anderson can't go this week, with Juwan Thompson mixing in.
After a putrid start to the year, Anderson has started to get going. Among the 39 backs with at least 100 carries, Anderson ranks 27th in Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per carry. The Denver running game gets a nice match in Week 14 against the Oakland Raiders, who sit 27th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play.
