Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy has been diagnosed with a torn MCL and is week to week.
Per Schefter, there's still "more testing" scheduled for Monday. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport claims McCoy could be back for Week 17, but it's hard to see that happening with the Bills' season already lost. McCoy's first year in Buffalo is likely through. That leaves impressive rookie Karlos Williams to start against the Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets.
Williams turned four carries into 2.80 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) in Week 14 while McCoy racked up -2.81 Rushing NEP on 10 attempts. Among backs with at least 60 rushes, Williams entered the week ranked first in Rushing NEP per carry.
