Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (thigh) is not expected to play in Week 15's game against the Green Bay Packers.
Matt Rhule told reporters on Tuesday that he does not expect McCaffrey to play against the Packers on Saturday. On Monday, Rhule said that the team was planning on McCaffrey playing again this season, but it appears that Week 15 will come too soon. It's possible McCaffrey improves during the week, but for now, Week 16 looks like his next chance to play. Mike Davis is expected to remain the starting running back for an excellent matchup against a Packers run defense rated 29th against running backs in numberFire's advanced stats.
The Panthers are 8.5-point underdogs against the Packers in Week 15. Their implied team total of 21.5 points is the second-lowest total on Saturday's two-game main slate, according to numberFire's DFS Heat Map.
