Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker (hamstring, shoulder) had a setback in practice and is doubtful to play Week 9 against the Houston Texans.
Parker made it back on the field in Week 8 and drew 11 targets, but now he's heading back to the shelf. Jaylen Waddle should dominate targets from Tua Tagovailoa in a plus matchup and Mike Gesicki could also be more involved. In three games without Parker, Waddle is averaging 9.7 targets and 6.7 receptions. In two games with Tagovailoa and without Parker, Waddle led with 24.4% of the targets while Mike Gesicki had 19.8%.
Waddle is now the WR14 in numberFire's Week 9 fantasy rankings and our models project him for 8.7 targets. The Texans are 24th in player-adjusted fantasy points per target allowed to opposing wide receivers. Gesicki is the TE4 and projected for 7.3 targets.
