Carolina Panthers wide receiver Terrace Marshall (healthy scratch) is inactive for the team's Week 12 game against the Miami Dolphins.
In a surprising move, the Panthers have left the 2021 second-round pick on the bench for Week 12, opting instead to activate sixth-rounder Shi Smith against the Dolphins. Marshall had an excellent preseason, but a tough concussion (and Sam Darnold's poor play) appear to have derailed his rookie campaign.
Marshall has 14 catches for 116 yards so far this season, but has not caught a pass in any of his past three games since returning from his concussion. Hopefully the week off will allow him to get back in his preseason form, during which time he led all receivers in yards per route run.
