San Francisco 49ers wideout Deebo Samuel (groin) is expected to "miss a little time" with his injury, and will undergo MRI testing to determine the severity of the damage.
The team seems optimistic about Samuel's health after the star receiver left Sunday's Week 12 win over the Minnesota Vikings early. Samuel himself seemed in good spirits on the sidelines for the remainder of the game and expressed relatively little concern about his availability, so (pending the results of his MRI) it seems the team and Samuel have avoided a serious injury.
Deebo was off to another roaring start in Week 12 prior to his injury, this time primarily as a running back: he notched 6 carries for 66 yards and 2 rushing scores, while catching 1 of his 4 targets for another 12 yards. The 49ers have shown a wonderful ability to get their playmaker the ball in favorable situations, and hopefully won't be without him for long. If Samuel does miss any time, expect Brandon Aiyuk to continue seeing growth in his passing game workload.
