The New Orleans Saints appear to be making a change at the quarterback position, Ian Rapoport reports, with Taysom Hill (foot) taking the first-team reps in the team's practices ahead of their Week 13 game against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Saints have rolled out with Trevor Siemian under center for the past four games, but appear to be preparing to switch to a Taysom Hill-led offense for Week 13 with Hill taking the first-team reps in practice. The Saints signed Hill to a large extension last week, but held him on the sidelines for Week 12 while the versatile player recovered from a foot injury.
Hill offers upside as a rushing threat that Siemian failed to display in his 4 starts, rushing 5 times for 19 yards in that span. While Hill's deep passing ability will certainly be an issue, he also managed to lead the team to a winning record when Drew Brees missed time in 2020. Hill offers upside as a back-end QB1 in fantasy for Week 13 if he is declared the starter, as he has averaged 52.3 rushing yards per game as the starter in 2020.
