Clyde Edwards-Helaire C. Edwards-Helaire

Chiefs' Clyde Edwards-Helaire's (collarbone) X-rays return negative results

X-rays on Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (collarbone) were negative for any broken bones.

What It Means:

Edwards-Helaire suffered the injury just after halftime and was unable to return to Sunday's Week 16 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but his negative tests results are good news for the second-year back. He'll have MRI's done this week to determine if there was any additional damage to his shoulder area, but for now it would appear that he avoided a serious injury.

Edwards-Helaire rushed 9 times for 27 yards and a bowling-ball-esque touchdown before exiting Sunday's contest, but missed out on a massive opportunity for garbage-time touches as the Chiefs blew out the Steelers; Darrel Williams and Derrick Gore combined for 23 carries and 6 catches in Week 16. They'll likely split the workload in Week 17 if Edwards-Helaire misses any additional time.
