ESPN's Mike Reiss noted that New England Patriots running back James White (hip) has been participating in a limited fashion in spring practices so far.
It's great news that White is able to practice in any fashion (even if most of his work comes on the rehab field) after last year's devastating hip injury. White suffered the injury in Week 3 of the 2021 season and was unable to return, but his ability to practice now bodes well for the 30-year-old's 2022 season outlook.
White was averaging an impressive 6 catches for 47 yards in his first two games of the season before suffering his Week 3 injury, and the pass-catching running back remained a prominent feature of the Patriots' offense even after his injury. If White is able to play this season, he has upside as an every-week RB2 in PPR fantasy leagues.
