The Philadelphia Eagles have claimed running back Trey Sermon on Thursday.
After his release on Wednesday, Sermon will head to his second career spot in Philadelphia. In a potential committee role with Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell, the former third round pick could have a short-yardage or early down role.
On 41 career rushing attempts last season, Sermon produced 167 yards, one touchdown, eight missed tackles, and three explosive runs.
