New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson is emerging as a three-down back, per Evan Lazar of Patriots' official website.
Damien Harris went down early with a hamstring injury last week and Stevenson reeled off 161 yards on 25 rushes. He also added 14 yards on 2 catches (2 targets) while running a route on 73 percent of the passing downs. As Lazar notes, the Patriots typically use multiple players in the backfield, but with Harris facing a multi-week absence and the other pass-catching backs unavailable, Stevenson is set up for a rare bell-cow role. New England will face the Cleveland Browns in Week 6 on Sunday.
Stevenson is the RB9 in numberFire's Week 6 rankings and our models project him for 14.9 FanDuel points, with 19.6 touches for 98.9 yards. The Browns are allowing the third-most FanDuel points per game to the running back position this season, and according to our advanced team metrics, their run defense is the worst in the league through five weeks.
