Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts (hamstring) will return to practice on Wednesday, per head coach Arthur Smith.
Pitts was held out all of last week, so it's encouraging that he will at least be able to turn in a limited session on Wednesday. Smith said the Falcons will evaluate Pitts throughout the week, but barring a setback, the second-year tight end seems to be on track for Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers. Pitts only has one game this season with more than 25 yards and his snap share started trending down in Weeks 3-4, but he's still averaging 5.5 targets (14th among tight ends). Parker Hesse and Anthony Firkser combined for 2 receptions and 20 yards on 2 targets last week while playing all of the Falcons' tight end snaps.
Pitts is the TE7 in numberFire's Week 6 fantasy rankings against a 49ers defense that is allowing the second-fewest FanDuel points per game to the position. Our models project him for 6.6 targets, 3.9 receptions, and 51.0 yards.
