Baltimore Ravens wide receiver DeSean Jackson will likely play on Monday against the New Orleans Saints in Week 9, head coach John Harbaugh said.
"I think it's a good possibility DeSean Jackson plays," Harbaugh told reporters on Thursday afternoon. The Ravens signed Jackson on October 19, but he was on the practice squad the past two games. Rashod Bateman is undergoing season-ending foot surgery, so Jackson has a chance to secure a role as Lamar Jackson's preferred deep threat.
Jackson caught 20 passes on 34 targets for 454 yards and 2 touchdowns in 16 games last season for the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Rams. Among Ravens players with double-digit targets this year, Bateman leads the team with an average depth of target of 13.4 yards. Mark Andrews (10.6) and Devin Duvernay (10.5) are second and third.
