Houston Texans quarterback Davis Mills will start versus the Dallas Cowboys in Week 14, per head coach Lovie Smith.
Mills will take back over as the starter after being benched for Kyle Allen the past two games. Allen will return to backup duties. The Texans offense will still be abysmal, but Mills should at least be an upgrade for Nico Collins and Brandin Cooks.
Allen had the worst EPA per play (negative-0.544) among all starting quarterbacks over the past two weeks and he was significantly worse than Mills has been all year (negative-0.172). The Cowboys have the No. 1 overall defense and No. 1 pass defense in numberFire's adjusted efficiency metrics this season, so Mills and the Texans are going to have a tough time moving the ball.
