Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (quad, calf) is expected to play on Thursday night in Week 14 against the Los Angeles Rams, reports Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Jacobs is listed as questionable, but there never seemed to be any real concern about his status. However, Jacobs has racked up 121 touches the past four games, so the Raiders may limit his workload on a short week if they are in a positive game script. Rookie Zamir White will likely be the primary beneficiary if that's the case. Per numberFire's NFL Heat Map, the Raiders are favored by 6.5 points over the Rams on Thursday night.
numberFire's models project Jacobs for 26.1 touches and 121.1 yards on Thursday, and he's our highest projected scorer of the game at 20.0 FanDuel points. He also has the highest salary on the single-game slate at $16,500. However, the Raiders' workhorse might have a tough time versus a Rams team with the fifth-best run defense in football, according to our nERD ranks.
