New York Jets wide receiver Corey Davis (concussion) is trending in the right direction for Week 16 against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night, per Rich Cimini of ESPN.
Davis missed all of last week with a concussion, but Jets head coach Robert Saleh said he expects the receiver to play on Thursday night. Davis only has three games with more than two catches and his season-high is 85 yards, but the Jets' receivers will have an advantageous matchup at home on a short week versus a porous Jaguars secondary.
Per numberFire's advanced team metrics, the Jets have the No. 6 run defense and No. 29 pass defense in the NFL, so they might want to try and throw it more than normal. Only five teams allow more Expected Points Added per drop back than the Jaguars this season and only eight teams give up a higher rate of positive pass plays.
