Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs won't report to the beginning of training camp on Tuesday, reports Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Jacobs hasn't signed his franchise tender and he intends to hold out for a long-term contract from the Raiders. The 25-year-old back was seen boarding a flight departing Las Vegas on Monday morning and he has reportedly told people close to him that he doesn’t plan to return anytime soon. Zamir White, Ameer Abdullah, and Brandon Bolden will likely form a three-man committee in the Raiders' backfield while Jacobs is away from the team.
Jacobs led the NFL in touches (393), rushing yards (1,653), and yards from scrimmage (2,053) last season. He's the RB4 in numberFire's preseason rankings and our models project him for 312.6 carries, 1,390.9 rushing yards, 39.6 receptions, 251.5 receiving yards, and 14.74 total touchdowns.
