Miami Dolphins rookie wide receiver Leonte Carroo has impressed at OTA's.
Beat writer Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald said he's "made quite an impression." Defensive back Michael Thomas added that Carroo's physical skill set reminds him of playing against a faster version of Anquan Boldin. Carroo will spend the next five weeks between OTA's and minicamp honing his craft with top wide receiver Jarvis Landry. He's off to a solid start, but the real test will come when the Dolphins practice in pads next month.
Landry was consistent, with a 66.47 percent Catch Rate on 167 targets last year. Still, a meager 0.49 Reception Net Expected Points per target (ranked 80th among 86 receivers with at least 50 targets in 2015) and a 72.97 percent Reception Success Rate indicates that Landry has been nothing more than a high-volume short possession receiver in the previous regime's offense.
