The Athletic's Chad Graff writes that New England Patriots wideout Tyquan Thornton (undisclosed) has struggled in training camp so far this year.
Thornton has missed several practices with an undisclosed injury, but Graff believes that the second-year wideout has struggled even when he has been on the field for the team this offseason. Thornton's speed helps him stand apart from teammates like DeVante Parker and JuJu Smith-Schuster, but the former Baylor standout has yet to live up to his second-round draft capital.
Thornton produced 22 catches for 247 yards and 2 touchdowns as a rookie last year, and there was some optimism heading into training camp that he could take the next step in 2023. It looks like that optimism may be better suited for next offseason.
