Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp (hamstring) will likely sit out joint practices with the Las Vegas Raiders this week, per head coach Sean McVay.
McVay believes Kupp has a better chance to return next week for joint practices with the Denver Broncos. Kupp injured his hamstring in practice last week, but he should be ready for Week 1 versus the Seattle Seahawks. The 30-year-old receiver missed the final eight games last season with an ankle injury, but he racked up 93 targets in eight healthy games. Demarcus Robinson and Tutu Atwell are the favorites to join Kupp in three-wide sets in 2023.
Kupp is currently the WR4 in numberFire's preseason rankings. Our models project him for 158.9 targets, 111.5 receptions, 1,429.9 yards, and 10.65 touchdowns. In eight healthy games last season, Kupp averaged 20.3 FanDuel points per contest, with 11.6 targets for 9.0 receptions and 101.6 yards, while totaling 7 touchdowns.
