Adam Schefter reports that free agent running back Dalvin Cook plans to sign a one-year contract with the New York Jets.
Cook reportedly had a good visit with the Jets just over a week ago, and is now reportedly planning to sign a one-year deal with the team worth up to $8.6 million. If starting back Breece Hall (ACL) misses any time Cook would be the presumed lead back for the Jets, but it is unclear what kind of split to expect once Hall returns.
Last year was Cook's least efficient season in the pros, but it still saw the uber-talented vet averaging 4.4 yards per carry. He finished the year with 264 carries, 1,173 yards and 8 scores.
